how carnival night act 2 was SUPPOSED to sound

the only proto track i don't really like is ice cap because it doesn't fit the tone of the level

also even the rest of the tracks of sonic 3 in origins were recorded in really shoddy quality for some reason

I actually prefer the prototype carnival night music, but those butchered sounds on origins are a hard pass. If I'm gonna play sonic 3 I'll do it with AIR.

AIR is so good folks... what Origins should've been...

Sadly it's still missing some features exclusive to Sonic 3 Complete last I checked (like being able to play Flying Battery between Carnival and Ice Cap as originally intended)... and something else I can't remember right now, but overall it's better

I saw it in both. I played it for an hour or so before getting the upgrade, and I saw it happen again after that.

it doesn't sadly. i'd be fine with playing sonic 3 complete if it wasn't for the proto tracks being based on the shitty pc/origins versions (and sound even worse)

Jun Senoue is a good composer, but someone at Sega should forcibly prevent him from trying to make more "retro" tracks ever again. It didn't work in Sonic 4, and it only got worse with Origins.
